Frequently Asked Questions

Where do the classes take place?

All of the classes take place at our home in Mid-City Los Angeles. One week before class, you will receive an email with the address as well as my personal contact information.

What happens if I can’t make it to class?

Hey, it happens, especially if you have kids! We’ll reschedule you for another date.

My kid has a food allergy, can that be accommodated?

Please reach out to us as soon as you book to let us know about your child’s allergy. We’ll do our best to adapt recipes to accommodate any allergies, but please note that our home is NOT peanut-free or gluten-free, so cross contamination is possible.

Do you offer adult classes?

Yes! I know that just because you’re a grown-up doesn’t mean that you know how to cook. I offer a selection of adults-only classes that are ideal for people who want to learn the basics or depend their culinary repertoire. We do offer complimentary beer, wine, or cocktails during our adult classes.

My How to Cook a Turkey class is especially popular for those planning to host Thanksgiving for the first time!

What age children are the classes best for?

Dad-a-Licious cooking classes are best for kids ages 4 and up. We have special kid-safe knives for our younger students, as well as step stools so they can reach the counter.

Do you offer private classes?

Yes! We’d love to host a class just for you and your family and friends. Please reach out to us through the contact form to discuss scheduling and pricing.

Why the name Dad-a-Licious?

My dramatic readings of Pinkalicious inspired the name. My kids are old enough to read the book to me now, but I have fond memories of reading it to them daily for many (many) years.
